Robbie Emory Claims Thunder on the Farm 358 Late Model Victory

HANOVER, PA (9/30/2017) – Robbie Emory dominated the Precise Racing Products 358 Late Model Series finale, Saturday, at Trail-Way Speedway’s Thunder on the Farm.

Polesitter Kerry King led the initial two laps, but it was all Emory from there on, as he claimed the 40-lap, $1,000 prize.

Lapped traffic became a factor early in the feature and was the only obstacle between Emory and the checkered flag. “The lapped cars made things harder. I’m glad there weren’t many more because they were hard to get around.”

Sixth-starting Travis Mease and second-starting Bobby Beard put on a show for the third and fourth spots as the drivers traded positions during the 40-lap feature. Mease made the final pass on Beard on lap thirty-three, not only claiming a top-three finish, but also the 2017 Precise Racing Products 358 Late Model Series Championship.

Following Emory, King, Mease and Beard across line was legendary driver Jimmy McBee, who completed the top five.

Heats for the 358 Late Models were won by Emory and Mease.

Brian Walls took home a pair of Street Stock wins, Saturday, at Trail-Way Speedway’s Thunder on the Farm.

Walls started eleventh in the 25-lap Big Tire Street Stock feature and took the lead away from Danny Beard on the fourth lap.

Walls’ newly acquired #T2 sponsored by Frankie’s Used Auto Parts and Mike’s Towing & Recovery wasn’t the only star of the field as tenth-starting Mike Walls raced his way through a stellar lineup of cars and took home the runner-up spot.

Completing the top five were Beard, Jasen Geesaman and Chris Heller.

Heats for the 24 Big Tire Street Stocks were won by Beard, Jamie Zentmyer and Ryan Smith.

Brian Walls’ second win came under more familiar circumstances. Starting on the pole, the 2017 Street Stock track champion was no match for the rest of the field as he dominated the 30-lap race from start to finish.

Rounding out the top five were Dalton Myers, Aaron Beard, hard charger Cory Weishaar, and Jeremy Stremmel.

Heats for the Trail-Way Street Stocks were won by Walls and Myers.

Robbie Carroll claimed the 20-lap Limited Stock, Thunder on the Farm feature.

While Carroll led the entirety of the race and was never really challenged for the top spot, hard charger, Matt Chronister raced his way from a 12th starting spot to the runner up spot by lap 17, where he later finished.

Travis Brown finished third followed by Ryan Smith and Noah Swank completing the top five.

Heats for the Limited Stocks were won by Shannon Weaver and Carroll.
