New Kevin Gobrecht Memorial/National Open Format For 2018!

New for the 2018 Kevin Gobrecht Memorial/National Open will be the addition of time trials. Here are the specifics for this event:

Time Trial order will be decided by pill draw. (ALL divisions will time trial)

Heats will be lined up based on time, but with an inversion of 12 for three heats, 16 for four heats or 20 for five heats.

Each division will have a six lap dash that will decide the starting lineup for the A-main. The dash lineup will be set as follows (based on three heats):

1) Best Timed Heat Winner, 2) Best Timed Qualifier (Non Heat Winner)
3) 2nd Best Timed Heat Winner, 4) 2nd Best Timed Qualifier (Non Heat Winner)
5) 3rd Best Timed Heat Winner, 6) 3rd Best Timed Qualifier (Non Heat Winner)

Drivers that qualify into the A-main but do not make the dash will be lined up based on heat finishes, heads up, for the A-main.

Consolation races will be lined up heads up based on heat race finishes. Drivers who transfer into the A-main from the consolation race will be lined up heads up behind the heat race qualifiers.

Both 270 & 600 Micro Sprint features will be 40 laps. Both features pay $1,000 to win.

There will be lap money for both micro sprint races. ($5 per lap)

We will be announcing bonus prizes this weekend for fast time, hard charger and hard luck awards.
