MATT CHRONISTER CLAIMS FINAL LIMITED STOCK VICTORY OF 2018

Hanover, PA (11/4/18) - Aspers’ Matt Chronister raced to his fourth Limited Stock victory of 2018 at the 2nd Annual Halloween Havoc Demolitions and Races, Sunday afternoon, at Trail-Way Speedway.

With the 2018 point season coming to a close several weeks ago, the Limited Stocks were given the opportunity to race a program with altered rules. Two of the changes were double file restarts for the 20-lap feature and the other change affected the line up of the feature.

The top 4 qualifiers from each of the three heat races, twelve total, gathered together on the frontstretch for a revenge draw. Each driver pulled a starting number and had to give it to someone else. The draw put Tyler Gastley and Jeff Foster on the front row with Matt Chronister starting 5th and the 2018 Trail-Way Speedway Limited Stocks track champion, Robbie Carroll, starting 7th.

Foster jumped to an immediate lead on the initial start and was able to hold off third starting, Terry Hartlaub, for only a few laps until Hartlaub snatched the top spot away. Hartlaub was given no time to settle in as a hard charging, Matt Chronister, sped into the picture, taking over the top spot on the eighth lap.

Chronister dominated the final 12 laps, weaving in and out of lapped traffic. Carroll was able to maneuver his way through the same lapped cars but could only pull within a few seconds of Chronister by the time the checkered flag flew.

Carroll finished second followed by Hartlaub in third.

Kyle Rohrbaugh wrapped up his 2018 racing season and also his lengthy Limited Stocks career with a fourth place finish, Sunday evening at Trail-Way Speedway. Rohrbaugh will be making the move from Limited Stocks to 358 Sprint Cars in 2019.

Lock Haven’s Cody Stover started 24th and finished 9th earning him the JD Kustoms Hard Charger award.

Heat winners for the 27 Limited Stocks were Matt Worley, Foster and Rohrbaugh.

Figure 8 feature wins went to Brad Kress, in the large car race, and to Matt Chronister, in the small car race. Both drivers led from the drop of the green until the checkered was waved, picking up the $150 win.

Brad Kress and passenger Bradley Hopkins claimed the Large Car Demo win while Andy Chester was declared the winner of the Large Car Modified Demo division. Kress and Hopkins also claimed the fan voted $50 “hard hitter” award.

Port Deposit, Maryland’s Bryan Sebold, claimed the win in the Small Car Demo over Nick Misuraca and Mike Snyder. Sebold was also declared the fan voted “hard hitter.”

Alexis Kellison and passenger Wes Kellison claimed the Power Puff, 10-lap, feature win. The win was the first victory for Alexis in the Powder Puff division. Beckie Carroll and passenger Ryan Foster finished second with Mandi Denike completing the top three.
